Creative Writing
Why write?
I used to want to either build intelligent robots or write exciting novels. My career leans more towards computers than literature, but I still enjoy a bit of creative writing now and then.

Dave came from Brighton to stay in London last night and went off very early around 6am to his South Kensington office. I was half asleep as he left. Still in a blur I started thinking about which tatoo I should get for our wedding next year, since he's getting one (a porcupine, because I look loveable but really I'm painful when I contract into a ball of spikes). Anyway, while half asleep I came up with a few words I might want to have tatooed. The fear of forgetting them got me out of my slumber and my bed:
Made with love
Made love
With Dave
Made in Dave

The Web Developer's Prayer
Our Bill Gates, which art in MSN
Backed-up be thy Files
Thy monopoly to come
Thy update be done,
at home as it is at work
Give us this day our daily code
And forgive us our missed deadlines,
as we forgive them that change requirements against us
And lead us not into .com bubbles
But deliver us from private equity
For thine is the keyboard, and the mouse, and the blue screen, for ever and ever.
Amen
